The Finger Lakes Chapter is one of 57 chapters of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, an international organization founded in 1975, and headquartered at Clayton, NY in the Thousand Islands. FLC was organized in 1978, when it became the fifth chapter to join ACBS. As one of nine ACBS chapters located in New York State, FLC covers the eastern Finger Lakes Region. FLC currently has 162 memberships, or about 350 members, drawn heavily from the Finger Lakes area. Since 1995, the chapter's annual boat show has been held in Skaneateles and has developed a reputation as one of the top ten shows in the nation, drawing exhibitors broadly from the US and Canada. The chapter greatly appreciates the support and encouragement provided by the Skaneateles Chamber and the larger Skaneateles community.
